How to check packaging automation suppliers

  • Ask for videos of the same package format at similar speed, not just a catalog machine.
  • Confirm whether sample testing is included and how many samples the supplier needs.
  • Review changeover procedure, tooling cost, and adjustment points for each SKU.
  • Define contact materials, sanitation requirements, and cleaning access if the product is food, beverage, pharma, cosmetic, or chemical.
  • Confirm integration ownership across upstream feeding, downstream case packing, palletizing, and data systems.
  • Ask for the recommended spare parts list before final negotiation.

FAT planning for packaging machines from China

For packaging automation, FAT quality depends on real samples and realistic packaging materials. Send enough product, cartons, labels, film, caps, and cases for setup, adjustment, and production-speed testing.

Run-time test
